Calgary Events Are Too Numerous To Fully Address On a Single Page.

Calgary Events Calendar entries are far too numerous to fully address here, but the following information will give you an idea of the range of activities you can enjoy year-round in this city.

January brings cold winds and the chance to escape them by settling into a theatre and enjoying first-class performances.

One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theatre presents its annual High Performance Rodeo, showcasing new, experimental forms of theatre and musical art.

February welcomes one of the outstanding Calgary Events called the Calgary Winterfest, a ten-day carnival that proves that snow and ice are no obstacles to fun.

From skating parties to chili cook-offs, the Devonian Gardens festival includes enough sporting competitions, musical performances, cultural events, and children’s activities to please everyone.

March gives sports fans a chance to cheer for the Calgary Dinos at the CIS Women’s Volleyball Championship, so visit www.godinos.com for team updates.

Or you can check out the Pumphouse Theatre 's Annual Calgary Region One Act Play Festival , a three-night demonstration of community theatre art.

April presents yet another of the favorite Calgary Events and lets you follow your nose to the Calgary Horticultural Society’s Annual Garden Show at the Stampede Grounds from April 13-15, 2007.

May is full of smiles, thanks to the Calgary Funnyfest Comedy Festival , eleven nights of laughs in nine venues from May 3-13, 2007. Seventy performers find humor in themes such as Canada versus the USA and Full Frontal Comedy.

June is jazzed up for the Calgary Jazz Festival, a multi-venue musical event featuring both local and international jazz artists at various city venues.

The festival was cancelled for June 2010 because of financial difficulties.

July heralds the best known of all Calgary Events Calgary Exhibition and Stampede , the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and the one that put Calgary on the cowboy map.

This tribute to the Wild West takes place in Stampede Park from July 6-15, 2007 and includes rodeo events, carnival rides, concerts, and musical performances.

For businesspeople hoping to network their way to entrepreneurial success, the Telus Play with the Presidents Golf Classic at Heritage Pointe on July 4, 2007 lets golfers swing their clubs and careers into high gear in foursomes led by top Calgary business leaders.

August honors the contributions of Africans at Afrikadey , held throughout the city in public spots.

September goes Scottish with the

Calgary Highland Games 2009 on Saturday September 5, 2007 at the Foothills Athletic Park.

Highland dancing, drumming, and piping provide musical accompaniment to a variety of events, such as the challengingly heavy-handed caber toss.

November sets a yuletide mood with the Twelve Days of Christmas at Heritage Park Historical Village in late November and during December weekends.

Old-fashioned fun in the form of storytelling, wagon rides, and Santa Express tours give guests a glimpse of bygone prairie life, with plenty of shopping and generous breakfast buffets.

December Saturdays are perfect for enjoying Christmas in Kensington Village, where more than 260 restaurants, shops, and services await.

November 26th through November 29th in 2009 Calgary will host the GREY CUP festivities and hopefully the CALGARY STAMPEDERS will be defending their CHAMPIONSHIP POSITION.

This annual GREY CUP CELEBRATION is always a fantastic close out of the Canadian Football season, and we all know that Calgary is World Renowned when it comes to putting on a PARTY!

Football fans will be well advised to get their tickets early and book the necessary reservation if they intend to participate in this fabulous celebration.
