When Searching For A Special Home,
Head For The Calgary Lofts!

Calgary lofts provide desirable and unique living spaces, and they are usually divided between hard lofts and soft lofts.

Hard lofts are converted from old warehouses and are intended to be part of a true Calgary beautification movement.

Soft lofts are dwellings that were created in the same style.

Both have their benefits and if you are looking to land in a Calgary loft, you have quite a few options, as you can see below!

The Imperial Lofts

The Imperial Lofts found on 220 11th Ave SE used to be the warehouse belonging to Imperial Tobacco and Wine and Spirits.

Built in the early teens, the Imperial Lofts feature ceilings as high as 19 feet and windows that are 10 to 14 feet tall.

The Hudson Lofts

The Hudson is located on 535 10th Ave SW provides more of a countrified appeal, with its freight elevator and its dominant theme of bare brick and wood.

Like the other buildings, it was constructed during the early teens and was salvaged from the remains of the Safeway warehouse.

The Hudson Lofts have the distinction of being Calgary's first loft project.

You can expect the typical high windows here as well as ceilings ten feet high.

The Lewis Lofts

The Lewis Lofts were converted from the Lewis Stationary Buildings and this attractive building features concrete floors, solid bare brick walls and a beautiful hardwood floor.

It's red brick walls are quite distinctive, dating back to 1911.

The Manhattan Lofts

If Hudson was the first Calgary loft project, The Manhatten Lofts might be among the most successful.

This is the loft area that is closest to a luxury apartment and it has many amenities that you might find strange in this environment.

At The Manhattan Lofts, you'll find 19 foot high ceilings, a main floor patio as well as lofted bedroom areas.

If something that has more amenities than the others appeals to you, consider The Manhattan Lofts.

“Lofts” on26th Ave SW

While not a hard loft like the ones listed above, this Calgary loft is known as a contemporary inner city dream house.

If you investigate a little closer, you'll find 3 levels of lofted space and full length windows that give you the light that is well-known to loft dwellers.

This luxury housing is ideal for professionals and has a great deal of work space for you to play with.
