Calgary sightseeing is not just for visitors and newcomers.

Oh no....

When it comes to Calgary sightseeing it does not matter whether you are visiting Calgary, just moved here, or you have lived in Calgary all of your life.

You should definitely take out a day or two ( and probably more) of your hectic schedule and set aside the time purely to see the many things of culture and beauty that Calgary has to offer.

Calgary sightseeing usually starts out with a visit to the Calgary Tower.

In every city there is something that the tourists flock to and line up to see and take pictures of, and this favorite is one of the best loved in Calgary.

There are many reasons why tourists love the Calgary Tower but the most common probably is the beautiful views that a person gets from the 600 plus foot high structure, giving the Calgary newcomer a perfect view of just about any venue that Calgary has to offer, from mountains, plains, and even a beautiful view of the City of Calgary.

If you love food, you should check out the Panorama Dining Room, located conveniently in the Calgary tower.

Calgary sightseeing would not be complete without a visit to the Olympic Plaza which is yet another spot that people love to see when they are in Calgary.

Perhaps it is the perfectly landscaped area or even the serene, calm atmosphere that people love—either way, the Olympic Plaza is the perfect place to get away on a warm sunny Calgary Summer Day.

It was originally built just for the medal awards ceremony when the Winter Olympics were held in Calgary, but since the need for that has passed it just makes for a beautiful place to relax, eat, and take some lovely pictures.

History and architectural buffs alike love to come to Calgary to see the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer in Calgary.

It was built back in 1905 and it got its landmark status in 1974.

The site is famous for the Victorian architecture and stunning stained glass windows, are just some of the facets of this site that art buffs flock from all over to see.

There is something of interest just about everywhere in the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer as it was the very first Anglican Church built in Calgary.

The usual and obvious places are quick to grab anyone's attention.

But when it comes to Calgary sightseeing, there are more obscure attractions that can fill in some of the history of this great city, such as The Grain Academy Museum

Just a quick look at the website will entice you to come in and make a more in depth investigation of this facinating piece of history.

The diversity of this city and the surrounding area is virtually endless.

For example, go take a look at the Calgary Spaceport which rightfully calls itself “the greatest destination north of NASA”

Now ad in the world renowned sport facilities such as Spruce Meadows and Canada Olympic Park.

Don't forget that Calgarians and visitors alike can enjoy some of the largest parks inside the city's limits such as Nose Hill Park and Fish Creek Park.

Calgary sightseeing must also include the very unique and hugely popular indoor garden right downtown called the Devonian Gardens.

Other Parks that fall more under attractions, are Fort Calgary Historic Park and Heritage Park Historical Village

Take a look at the monitor below and click on it if you are interested in having your own website that generates free traffic to your enterprise, whatever that may be.
