Real Estate In Calgary Appears To Have Survived The Economic Downturn.
Real Estate in Calgary took a bit of a dive when the economy came to a screeching halt.
Fortunately it was not as bad as we have seen in many other areas of the country.
The reasons for this will be discussed for many years, but for now,it is good to see the new housing starts are increasing again, even tough it is only a little so far.
And although we are experiencing unemployment at a rate of just under 10%

is moving at a good rate with prices holding reasonably firm and even increasing in some sections of the city.
One of the main reasons that values have held as well as they have is due to the fact that there are a lot of well designed subdivisions such as the many
lake communities.

it appears that the

are again in greater demand.
