Bad Weather Days.

You want to take in as many Calgary attractions as possible when you get here, and sometimes no matter how careful you plan things, the weather is not ideal to spend time outdoors.

With that in mind I have attempted to present the available Calgary attractions on separate pages to make your job of finding things easier.

The headline of this page will tell you what kind of information you will find here.

Although the Science Centre is a children’s dream world, the The Telus World Of Science as it is properly named, will delight and amaze you no matter how old you are!

Of course if you are more interested in military history there is no better place to spend some time than in the The Museum Of The Regiments

Another place you do not want to miss seeing while you are in Calgary is the Chinese Cultural Center
, which is a very special and unique place that you will really enjoy and remember as a true treasure.

While you are in the downtown area be sure to take in some of Alberta’s history by visiting Lougheed House one of the restored and beautifully preserved sandstone mansions situated on 2.8 acres on the edge of downtown Calgary. It will be time well spent.

There are a couple of other Calgary atractions you will want to visit when you are downtown, and the most obvious one is the Calgary Tower
which by long time Calgarians is still referred to as the Husky Tower.

If you are ambitious you can take the stairs to the top instead of the elevator, but no matter how you get to the top, you’ll really enjoy what’s there. Of course there is the view, but there is also a revolving restaurant that serves great food and of course we dare you to venture out on the glass floor and look straight down! Enjoy!

When you get back to ground level you’ll find one of Canada’s finest museums just across the street.

Make sure you step inside the Glenbow Museum
if you want to see stuff that is a lot more interesting than the stuff you can find in your attic.

There is another unusual attraction located on the Stampede Grounds which appeals to many people and it is : The Grain Academy Museum which is located on the stampede Grounds in the BMO center at the +15 level, only a very short walk from downtown Calgary.

I will wind up this page by directing you to the Calgary Spaceport located in the Calgary International Airport.
This amazing place specializes in challenging your imagination, with displays and exhibits that demonstrate the principles and experiences of space. Be sure to check it out.

Now before you leave this page, you should visit my Digital Store where you can get a pretty good deal just for visiting!

Finally, here is a place where you may be able to locate a long lost relative or an old schoolmate.
