The East Village Is A Huge
And Ongoing Project!

The East Village will take several years to complete, and it will be a sparkling jewel in Calgary’s landscape.

Already an enormous amount of work has been accomplished by CMLC, The Municipal Land Corporation which was incorporated in the spring of 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the City of Calgary.

CMLC's mandate is to implement and execute the Rivers District Community Revitalization Plan, a public infrastructure program approved by the City of Calgary and the Province of Alberta to kick-start Calgary's urban renewal.

The project: the Rivers District Revitalization Plan provides the city, the province, and the country with an excellent asset, and helps ensure that Calgary is among the best places in the world to live, work, and visit.

Anyone who is in the least bit interested in Calgary’s future will do well to read the Corporation’s Mission statement this by clicking this link

The Rivers project incorporates the following 6 major components:

St. Patrick's Island

St. Patrick's Bridge

Rivers District

East Village

Riverwalk

Langevin Bridge

By going to the CMLC website you can stay current by subscribing to their quarterly newsletter and get excited by the volume of current information about the biggest urban development now happening in Calgary.

Now before you leave this page, you should visit my Digital Store where you can get a pretty good deal just for visiting!

Finally, here is a place where you may be able to locate a long lost relative or an old schoolmate.
