Lougheed House Reflects Alberta's Early History.
Lougheed House which is located at 707-13th ave SW in Calgary, was built way back in 1891 for Senator James Lougheed and his wife Isabella.
This beautiful property is a part of the Provincial Historic Buildings and in 1995 it was also designated as a National Historic Site.

After it was built, the Calgary Daily Herald declared it to be “one of the finest residences in the Canadian northwest”
With it's easy to reach Beltline location,
Lougheed House
is one of the places you just have to visit when you are in Calgary.
Loughheed House is open daily and lunch at Isabella's is becoming more and more popular by Calgarians and visitors alike.
Come and get a taste of history (and I am not referring to Isabella's, lunch of course), but come and enjoy the refurbished “period furniture” and the lovely archtecture.
And don't forget to check out the specially selected items that you will find in the Treasures gift shop, reflecting the era of this mansion.
And last, but not least, and weather permitting, wander through the splendid gardens of the 2.8 acre estate.
When you are downtown and in the middle of all the shopping frenzy, you should take a break to visit this lovely estate.
Thank you for visiting and please return often to see the updated version of this site, because we make changes and additions on an ongoing basis.

you will find a great selection in my store
